The Staff of the Department of Civil Law Disciplines comprises 16 members, 12 of them have a scientific degree of a doctor or candidate of law, scientific ranks of “assistant professor” and “professor”. Honoured Lawyer of the Russian Federation, Doctor of Law, professor A.F. Voronov; PhD (in Law), professor N.S. Globa, Candidate of Law, assistant professor K.V. Markov are among the most outstanding and respected professors of the Chair.
Recently professors and lecturers of the Chair have created and published a number of textbooks and scientific works: I.I. Vasilishin, N.S. Globa “Legal Regulation of Property Base of Entrepreneurial Activities”; I.I. Vasilishin “Civil Law. Part I”; A.F. Voronov “Principles of Civil Proceedings: Past, Present and Future”; N.S. Globa, I.A. Zimina “ Basis of Commercial Law of Foreign Countries”; I.A. Zimina “International Private Law” and etc.
Students of Civil Law specialization regularly participate in scientific and practical conference of their profile. The following conferences have been held lately: “Comparative Law Studies: Present State and Prospects of Development”; “Entrepreneurship in Modern Market Economy and its Legal Frameworks”; “Modern Trends in International Business Development”; “Intellectual Innovations in the Society and Development of Education”; “Law linguistics and Conflict Resolution Linguistic studies: Theoretical and Applied Aspects”; “Legal Aspects of Foreign Investments: Dispute Resolution” and etc. Problems of the analyses of the provisions of “the Concept of improvement of the General Provisions of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation”, the legal status of the subjects of civil law relations; legal regulation of different contract obligations and etc. form the focus of the scientific interests of the students.
MSLU has an opportunity to invite not only Russian specialists who fluently know foreign languages, but also lawyers from foreign countries: representatives of American Association of Lawyers in the Russian Federation delivers a course of lectures “Laws of the USA on Debtors and Creditors in Comparison with the Laws in Russia” for the students of civil law specialization.
Our graduates are highly in demand at the employment market, especially in foreign companies, where knowledge of foreign languages is needed to conduct negotiations, to work with documents and etc. (for instance, NOERR, STIEFENHOFER & LUTZ; WHITE&CASE LLP; HOGAN & HARTSON LLP; MANNHEIMER SWARTLING; Raiffeisen Bank International, UniCredit Bank and others).
