Department of Criminal Law Disciplines comprises an outstanding scientific and pedagogical potential. 99% employees have scientific degree of a doctor or a candidate of law, many of them conduct practical activities and work in the bodies of power and law enforcement structures.

Students of criminal law specialization execute diploma and course papers on the following issues: criminal liability for specific types of crimes according to the laws of Russia and foreign countries (such as murder, legalization (money laundering) of the proceeds, acquired illegally, theft, robbery, banditism, illegal drug trafficking; arms trafficking, terrorism, corruption, crimes in the sphere of economic activities and etc); peculiarities of application of specific types of punishment in Russia and foreign countries (fine, deprivation of liberty for a limited period of time, life imprisonment); criminal law issues of accompliceship in crime, theories about the subject of the crime and etc.
