Department of Linguistics and Professional Communication in the Sphere of Law provides courses of English, German, French and Spanish languages for students of the law department who are training to obtain qualifications “Jurisprudence”, “Organization and Technology of Information Security”, “Records Management” and the Chair of Linguistics and Professional Communication in the Sphere of Law is structurally subdivided into 4 sections: English, German, French and Spanish.

   At the present time, the following leading specialists in the sphere of teaching special languages are working in the Chair: PhD (in philology), professor L.V. Moiseenko; PhD (in education science), professor L.L. Kirey; PhD (in education science), professor I.A. Smoliannikova; PhD, professor E.E. Gubernatorov; professor I.M. Fedotova; PhD (in education science), assistant professor E.A. Zhukova; PhD (in philology), assistant professor N.A. Davydova, PhD (in philology), assistant professor N.V. Uskova; PhD (in education science), assistant professor K.V. Simonyan; assistant professor T.B. Mezhova and others.

   During their education in MSLU students have an opportunity to go for studies to Universities in foreign countries. Special additional courses for professional communication have been developed by the members of the Chair for students of the law department. Professors of the Chair supervise the diploma qualification papers in foreign languages.

   Within the framework of innovation educational programme, the members of the Chair have elaborated special module courses and textbooks and a set of role plays and case-studies for the Courtroom, where students are taught the skills of public speaking and law discourse.

   Students of the law department actively participate in work of international and inter-university scientific and student conferences.
