The department of English lexicology teaches English to freshmen, sophomores and juniors of daytime and evening departments of the Faculty of the Humanities and Applied Sciences ('Theory and Methodology of teaching foreign languages and cultures', 'Psychology ', ' Theoretical and applied linguistics'). Also the faculty delivers lectures on the theory of English lexicology for sophomores and juniors of daytime and evening departments ('Theory and Methodology of teaching foreign languages and cultures'), for post-graduates, students who raising the level of their skill.
The faculty supervise course and graduation papers related to the scientific work of the department. The department hosts students' scientific circles and societies.
Leading specialists of the department supervise scientific work of post-graduates from different universities of the country (Moscow, Belgorod, Krasnoyarsk, Ryazan and others).
The staff includes 46 teachers: 29 Ph.Ds, 23 associate professors.
