IPA CIS marks 25th anniversary

The Standing Commission on Science and Education of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly met in St. Petersburg on March 27, 2017 to discuss a number of model laws, amendments to the Prospective Plan for Model Law-Making until 2020, and some technical matters. The meeting was chaired by I. Marzaluk (Byelarus) and attended, among others, by the experts V. Filippov, Ye. Naumov and I. Parshukova. Copies of final documents have been made available to MSLU, that has been in active cooperation with the CIS body since 2004. MSLU is a hub organisation for the study of the languages and cultures of the CIS states.

The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly was marking its 25th anniversary on the same day, receiving visits and messages from Russian and foreign politicians, MPs, religious functionaries, intellectuals and journalists.
