International Workshop “Promoting Excellence in Sign Language Instruction”

On 1-2 March, MSLU's researchers took part in the International Workshop “Promoting Excellence in Sign Language Instruction” hosted by the European Centre for Modern Languages (Graz, Austria) and its Executive Director Sarah Breslin. The team was headed by Professor Kira M. Iriskhanova, Director of MSLU's Sign Language Laboratory.

This workshop brought together more than 50 sign language teachers from 28 countries of Eastern and Western Europe, from Russia and Canada.

The issues discussed at the professional development workshop are of great importance for  for lingustic education in Russia and are of special interest to MSLU professors. The European Centre for Modern Languages and MSLU have a long record of cooperation under the Memorandum of Cooperation and the Joint Operating Agreement.
