Information security: cooperation between Russia and Latin America

On October 11, MSLU held International Seminar “Cooperation between Russia and Latin America in international information security: results and prospects”.

MSLU rector Irina Kraeva said in her welcoming speech: “Problems of international information security are of particular importance at present, when conflicts between countries have an indispensable component - confrontation in the information area. The relevance of the topic of cyber defense makes university programs in this area popular and relevant.”

Our guests were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Sergei Ryabokon and Deputy Director of the Latin American Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry Dmitry Belov. Among the foreign guests were Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia to the Russian Federation, Mr. Hector Isidro Arenas Neira, Minister-Counselor of the United Mexican States to the Russian Federation, Mr. Joaquin Gerardo Pastrana Uranga; Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to the Russian Federation Mr. Eduardo Antonio Zuain, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador to the Russian Federation Mr. Juan Fernando Holguin Flores, Minister-Counselor of the Republic of Nicaragua to the Russian Federation Mr. Claudio Arana.

Distinguished Professor of MSLU, Director of MSLU Center for Ibero-American Programs, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Jan Burlyai moderated the event.

The participants discussed current topics of cooperation between the countries of Russia and Latin America in the field of cyber security.
