VI International Scientific Conference "German Studies 2023: nove et nova"

From November 29 to December 1, the International Scientific Conference "German Studies 2023: nove et nova" took place at MSLU for the sixth time. The conference brought together over 80 doctors and candidates of sciences, as well as 40 postgraduates and senior students.

Speakers came from Belarus, Kazakhstan, and several Russian cities: Arkhangelsk, Barnaul, Vladimir, Voronezh, Donetsk, Yekaterinburg, Krasnoyarsk, Lipetsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Oryol, Rostov-on-Don, St. Petersburg, Samara, and Smolensk. The event is held annually with an aim of exchanging scientific ideas on current issues in German studies and advancing the achievements of MSLU’s scientific schools.

In twelve sections, presentations were given on general and specific issues in German linguistics, the theory and practice of teaching German languages, translation issues, and intercultural communication.

On the last day of the conference, December 1, there were workshops as part of a professional development program on the topic "Trends and Methods in Linguistic Research in German Studies." The participants noted the high level of presented reports, the diversity of approaches and methods, productive discussions, and a friendly atmosphere.
