Strengthening Relationships with Africa

On March 19-20, as part of the preparations for the Second Summit and the Russia-Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum, under the auspices of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, the second International Parliamentary Conference "Russia-Africa in a Multipolar World" was held in Moscow, designed to strengthen the interaction of the Russian Federation with countries of the African continent.

Within the framework of the conference, there was a round table “Parliamentary support of cooperation in the field of science and education”, where Sergey Pilipenko, Vice-Rector for Development and Digitalization, Irina Shokina, Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization, and Galina Sidorova, Professor of the Department of Theory and History of International Relations, took part.

At the conference, simultaneous interpretation was carried out by MSLU lecturers Igor Matyushin, Alexei Maganov, Evgeny Solntsev, Mikhail Yemelyanov. Our student volunteers worked with national delegations.

As a result of the round table, a bulletin which will include MSLU proposals for developing cooperation with African states in the field of education and science will be issued.
