MSLU at International Economic Forum of the CIS Member States
Yan Burlyai, Director of the Center for Ibero-American Programs of MSLU, Professor, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary took part in the International Economic Forum of the CIS Member States which was held in Moscow on March 28-29, 2024. The motto of the event was From dialogue to joint projects in the CIS, EAEU, SCO.

Winter School 2024
In February 2024, MSLU held Winter School of Russian Language and Culture for the first time in a full-time format.

On February 27, Doctor of Political Sciences, Advisor to the President of Mali Professor Adama Diabate gave a talk for students studying French.

MSLU at 2024 UNIVERSITY Congress in Cuba
On February 5-9, Havana hosted XIV International Congress of Higher Education “UNIVERSITY – 2024”. More than 2,000 delegates from Latin America and other countries took part in the international educational forum. Warmly greeted them at the opening ceremony.

Brazil Federal University of Rio de JaneiroProfessor Meets with MSLU
On December 19, Jose Orlando Gomez, professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), president of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), and deputy dean of the UFRJ Polytechnic School for international relations with the BRICS countries, visited MSLU. He was welcomed by Vice-Rector for Science Olga Iriskhanova and Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization Irina Shokina.

MSLU Lecturer at Beijing Foreign Studies University
As part of cooperation with the Beijing Foreign Languages University, under the agreement on the exchange of teachers, Alexander Romantovsky, a teacher at the Department of Russian as a Foreign Language at the Institute of International Educational Programs, went to China this academic year.

Meeting with Director of Russian Language Institute, Heilongjiang University
On December 13, Mr. Sun Chao, director of the Institute of Russian Language, as well as teachers of Russian studies at Heilongjiang University, visited MSLU.

MSLU and Allameh Tabataba`i University
On December 6, 2023, MSLU and Allameh Tabataba`i University (ATU, Iran) had a meeting in a mixed format - in person and online. MSLU part was headed by Vice-Rector for International Affairs Vladimir Storozhev, and ATU was represented by the Vice-Rector for Science Davud Hosseinpour, while other representatives joined online.

Ibn Sina Foundation at the Center for Language and Literature of Iran at MSLU
On November 23, students of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting and the Institute of International Relations and Socio-Political Sciences met with representatives of the Sadra Publishing House of the Ibn Sina Foundation at the Center for Language and Literature of Iran.

Lecture by professor at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil)
On October 12,  Fabiano Melnichuk, Doctor of International Relations, Professor of the Graduate School of International Strategic Studies at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, gave a lecture in Portuguese for students studying the Portuguese language.

Mexican Film Shown For Our Students
On September 14, MSLU together with the Embassy of the United Mexican States, showed the Mexican drama “Danson” (directed by Maria Novaro, 1991) for our first, second and third year students of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting studying Spanish. The film tells a story of a Mexican girl passionate about dancing. Every week she appears on the dance floor with her partner, with whom she is in love.

Summer School of Russian Language: See You Again!
From August 7 to 27, the Summer School of the Russian Language and Culture 2023 was held at MSLU. Each of the 18 participants underwent intensive training in the Russian language and achieved significant success in mastering it.

Summer program "An overview of modern China and City Development 2023" at the Second Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages
From August 7 to 18, the Second Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages (北京第二外国语学院) BISU (Beijing International Studies University) hosted the summer program "An overview of modern China and City Development 2023", which was attended by 50 foreign young talents out of 28 countries including Russia, UK, France, Spain, Mexico, etc.

Review of the internship at the Mongolian State University Gunel Guliyeva (PF8-20-2)
For the entire 2022/2023 academic year, I studied at the Mongolian State University on the program for foreign students in the Mongolian language. The most important thing is that this internship gave me was interaction with a living, real language, the opportunity to communicate with the Mongols at home and the need to overcome the linguistic barrier (in the end, quite successfully!).

Cooperation with Cuba Expands
Moscow State Linguistic University continues cooperation with the universities of the Republic of Cuba. Thus, a lecturer from the University of Information Sciences in Havana, Cuba (la Universidad de Ciencias Informaticas de la Habana (UCI)) Professor Henri Raul Gonzalez Brito came to our university on a return visit.

MSLU students will spend 8 weeks in Oman
From April 26 to June 23, a group of students from MSLU Faculty of Translation and Interpreting  is undergoing an internship at Sultan Qaboos College for Teaching Arabic to Non-Native Speakers at Sultan Qaboos University. It is located in the city of Manah, Ad Dahiliya province, in the central part of Oman. This is the first internship for students with Arabic in several years.

Training Program for Candidates for the Competitive Language Examinations: internship in Vienna
From March 20 to 31, students of the Training Program for Candidates for the Competitive Language Examinations (hereinafter referred to as the Program), accompanied by  Olga Yevtushenko, PhD, completed an internship at the United Nations Office in Vienna.

Our students on an internship at the University of Matanzas (Cuba)
In the spring semester of the 2022/2023 academic year, Dana Almasova and Fedor Slastilov, third-year students of the MSLU Institute of Humanities and Applied Sciences, went on a short-term internship to the University of Matanzas (Cuba), being the first students from Russia, on the basis of an agreement signed in 2022.

On February 17, Suset Cruz Villate, teacher of the Russian language at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Havana (Republic of Cuba), visited our university.

First Student Exchange with the University of Veracruz (Mexico)
In the spring semester of the 2022/2023 academic year,  Yulia Frolova, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, within the framework of the agreement signed in 2019, was sent for a short-term study to the University of Veracruz.
