Information for international students

Dear student,

We are glad to welcome you at our University and we hope you will enjoy your stay here.

The next working day after your arrival (Monday-Friday) at 10.00 a.m. you should visit International Relations and Mobility Department which is located in the main building of the University (Ostozhenka str. 38, room 129, 3rd floor). You should have the following documents with you:

Passport (please make a paper copy of pages with personal information, visas, stamps and other records)
Medical insurance
Migration card
5 photos (black and white, matte, size 3x4)
1600 rubles for multiple visa (if you need one)

You will receive a student card and a registration paper in a couple of days. Please note that you have to carry your passport, visa and registration paper with you all the time you are out. You can make copies of the above mentioned documents and carry them instead of the originals.

First semester – September 1, 2021 – January 31, 2022

Second semester – February 7, 2022 – June 30, 2022

Deadlines for required documents:

First semester – May 30

How to get from the airport to MSLU Hall of Residence

There are two options for getting to the Hall of Residence (Komsomolsky prospect, 6): by Aeroexpress train or by taxi.

Aeroexpress provides rail passenger transportation services, covering routes between Moscow and airports of the Moscow Air Cluster (Vnukovo, Domodedovo, and Sheremetyevo).

Aeroexpress train routes

From the Sheremetyevo airport Aeroexpress train arrives at Belorussky railway station (Белорусский вокзал) – “Belorusskaya” metro station of the line 5 (Circle line). Then you need to reach the «Park Kultury» station of the line 5.

From the Domodedovo airport Aeroexpress train arrives at Paveletsky railroad station (Павелецкий вокзал) - «Paveletskaya» metro station of the line 5

From the Vnukovo airport Aeroexpress train arrives at Kiyevskaya railway station (Киевский вокзал) – «Kievskaya» metro station of the line 5

There are different types of metro tickets, but we suggest that you purchase a “Troika” card (Тройка). The Troika card is a reusable card designed as a means of payment in public transport in Moscow – metro, trolleybus, bus and tram. You can buy a Troika card at any Metro ticket office and automated Mosgortrans ticket kiosks for 50 rubles (< 1$/<1€) (you can get that sum back if you return your card at any Metro ticket office). You can transfer money to your Troika card at Metro ticket desk, Metro vending machines, via web site, mobile application, by SMS or using payment terminals and ATMs.

At the “Park Kultury” station go up on the escalator. Then exit through the doors and turn right.

NB: If you turn left after exiting «Park Kultury» metro station, you will see a blue building. It is a shopping center, where you can find an ATM and a currency exchange office

If you prefer to get to the Hall of Residence by taxi:

There are different providers of taxi services in Moscow. One of the most popular is Yandex.Taxi - Яндекс.Такси (taxi.yandex.ru/app/?from=taxi). You can also order a Yandex.Taxi via a terminal at the arrival zone. Trip to MSLU Hall of Residence will cost around 1000-2000 rubles (≈16 - 32 $ / 14 -28 €)

NB: Do not accept the services of taxi drivers near the exit of the arrival area of the airport!

How to get from the Hall of Residence to MSLU Main Building

Reach the «Park Kultury» metro station, then go down the underground crossing in front of the metro station exit.

Leave the underground crossing by the staircase to the right. Then turn left at the corner of the closest building

Then go straight

Continue following the road

Cross the road at the second crossing and turn left

Congratulations, you have reached MSLU Main Building!
