Brazil Federal University of Rio de JaneiroProfessor Meets with MSLU

On December 19, Jose Orlando Gomez, professor at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), president of the International Ergonomics Association (IEA), and deputy dean of the UFRJ Polytechnic School for international relations with the BRICS countries, visited MSLU. He was welcomed by Vice-Rector for Science Olga Iriskhanova and Head of the Department of International Cooperation and Internationalization Irina Shokina.

The parties discussed prospects for scientific and educational cooperation between the two universities, as well as joint work in the BRICS format. Areas of mutual interest include applied cognitive research, innovative approaches in teaching Russian as a foreign language and Portuguese, the development of advanced training courses for teachers of Russian and Portuguese, and the development of academic mobility programs for students and teachers.
