Vietnam Day at MSLU

On May 24th MSLU held its second Vietnam Day to commemorate the birthday of the Vietnamese leader Ho Chi Minh. This time it was called “National Identity”.

The program was organized by Vietnamese students studying at MSLU, they prepared an unusual concert program that took the audience on a journey from the South to the North of the country and introduced them to the cultures of Vietnam’s different regions. The festival participants included students and teachers from all Moscow universities, where the Vietnamese language is studied, specialists in Vietnamese studies and representatives of the Vietnamese community in Russia.

Ms Mai Nguyen Tuyet Hoa, First Secretary of the Embassy of Vietnam in Russia, gave a welcome speech and expressed gratitude to MSLU for the active work in the field of studying and promoting Vietnamese language and culture.

The entertainment program also included a quiz on Vietnamese history, geography and culture, a theater play and a tasting of traditional Vietnamese cuisine. MSLU’s Vietnam Day was covered by Vietnamese media accredited in Russia.
