On October 5 through 7, MSLU held a young scholars conference with all the University departments conducting master classes, workshops, round table discussions, lectures on linguistics, philology, history, political science, psychology, journalism, etc. The participants delivered their presentations in Russian, English, French, German, Spanish, Chinese and other languages, including the Russian sign language.
In her opening address, Irina A.Kraeva, MSLU's Acting Rector, welcomed the participants and spoke highly of the research papers submitted by the young scholars. She pointed out the relevance of the research in a globalising and technologically advancing world.
The festival included an exhibition of publications by MSLU's young scholars, a display of posters devoted to the Year of Ecology in Russia, and a presentation titled “The Heritage of Ostozhenka Street” based on the historical research by MSLU's young pre-university students.
