MSLU launches cooperation with UNIDO

On January 25th Veronica Peshkova, one of seven goodwill ambassadors of UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization), delivered a speech at the academic council assembly of MSLU.

Veronica is a participant of numerous international and federal projects in the field of women’s entrepreneurship and leadership, a practicing business expert and also an organizer and mentor of APEC BEST AWARD (women’s economic entrepreneurial projects award) and a member of the organizing committee of the Second Eurasian Women’s Forum. Veronica Peshkova has also been distinguished with gratitude by the general director of UNIDO Li Yong.

UNIDO operates in many spheres and provides its partners with the best cooperation options. The organization is a specialized entity of the UN, which mission is to support and hasten inclusive and sustainable industrial development in the member-states, and also to promote international industrial cooperation. The HQ of UNIDO is in Wien, Austria. The organization represents 170 countries.

At the academic council assembly Veronica Peshkova noted those projects of UNIDO connected with developing women’s entrepreneurship, youth and creative industries. The presentation concentrated on the youth projects of UNIDO, the main goal of which is to support entrepreneurship and access to education among this age group in developing countries. Also, the projects of UNIDO aimed at supporting women and women entrepreneurship and platforms supporting the promotion of economic rights and potential of women were listed.

After the speech, Veronica Peshkova answered several questions and outlined the prospects of further cooperation. We are grateful to the goodwill ambassador for her work in promoting UNIDO’s initiatives in Russia and for her choice of MSLU as one of the partners for this organization.
