MSLU participates in the terminology project of the European Parliament

In January 2021 MSLU started cooperation with the Terminology Coordination Department of the Directorate General of the European Parliament. The headquarters of the EU department is in Luxemburg. MSLU joined the European Parliament’s “YourTerm” terminology project. As a part of this project students of MSLU and other partner universities were granted an opportunity to find terminology matches for the terms, included in the list.

At the end of the second semester of the 2020/2021 academic year the work on the planned stage of the project was successfully completed. The glossaries suggested by the students and the information about the MSLU participants has already been posted on the website of the project yourterm.org . Our university took part in building of the glossaries on the following topics: Medicine, Women’s rights, Fishing and maricultur, Food.

Alexander Elizarov, Viktoria Frolova, Anna Ivolgina and Olga Egorova were the coordinators of the projects.

MSLU was the only Russian university to participate in this terminology project.
