Volunteering Programme for 2017 World Festival of Youth and Students Launched
On November, 28 MSLU saw the launch of the Volunteering Programme for the World Festival of Youth and Students to be held in Sochi next year. As a volunteers recruiting and training site, MSLU is engaged in providing organizational and linguistic support for this large-scale event.

Psychology Day at MSLU
November 18, 2016 was MSLU's Psychology Day, dedicated to 120 years since the birth of Lev Vygotsky, internationally famous Russian psychologist. The programme featured master-classes by the leading lecturers of the Department of Psychology and Pedagogical Anthropology, an "In-Depth Interview" with Prof. T.I.Pashukova and an overview of the Department's specialisations and subject areas.

Russia–Argentina: Progress and Prospects of Bilateral Relations
On November 17, 2016, MSLU hosted an international seminar named "Russia–Argentina: Progress and Prospects of Bilateral Relations". The seminar was organised by the MSLU Centre for Ibero-American Programmes and was attended by the Ambassadors of The Republic of Argentina, the Oriental Republic of Uruguay, the Republic of Colombia and the Republic of Costa Rica, together with other members of the diplomatic corps of Latin American countries, notable Russian scholars of the region and MSLU faculty and students.

MSLU Welcomes Delegation of Serbia-Russia Education Centre (Belgrade)
On November 8, Dr. I.Manokhin, MSLU's Acting Rector, and his staff met with the delegation from the Serbia-Russia Education Centre.

St.Petersburg Volunteers Forum
St.Petersburg Volunteers Forum launches an application campaign for people willing to donate their time and work to help organize and hold the 19th World Festival of Youth and Students scheduled October 14-22, 2017 in Sochi. The St.Petersburg Forum also chose 20 winning competitors aspiring to be Volunteer Training Centres, among them MSLU.

MSLU Students Win Crystal Orange Award
Moscow State Linguistic University congratulates students Natalia Moroz and Anna Khokhlova, Crystal Orange winners, at the 16th contest of student projects on public relations, promotion and media technologies, in the nomination of Theory and Methodology of Public Relations, Promotion and Media Technologies.

Takeover Day at MSLU College
On October 20, 2016, MSLU College had a Takeover Day. Students of Moscow State Linguistic University College voted for Vitaly Dmitiyevich, 11th grade student, to be acting   Rector of MSLU.

Matriculation Ceremony for Pre-University College Students
On October 20, Moscow State Linguistic University held a matriculation ceremony for its Pre-University College students. The event welcoming students to the 9th, 10th and 11th grades of the MSLU Pre-University College took place in the University’s main building on Ostozhenka Street. Igor V. Manokhin, acting Rector of the University, congratulated the students and guided them through the ceremony.

MSLU Commemorates 110th Anniversary of Dr. Elisa Riesel
On October 13, a memorial event to mark the 110th anniversary of the birth of Professor Eliza G. Riesel, Doctor of Philology, was held in the Austrian Library.

Allameh Tabataba’I University Delegation Visits MSLU
From October 16-20, Moscow State Linguistic University received a delegation from Allameh Tabataba’I University (the Islamic Republic of Iran). This event is significant for both universities.

Conference on foreign language instruction at non-linguistic universities hosted by MSLU
On 23-24 June 2016, the Moscow State Linguistic University hosted the All-Russian Methodological Conference on Foreign Language Instruction at Non-Linguistic Universities.
