Viktor Boychev, Director of the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Moscow, delivered a lecture to students of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting.
He began with a description of the holiday that is being celebrated on November 1st- the Day of People's Awakeners. In Bulgaria, awakeners are considered active figures of the national and cultural revival of the beginning and middle of the 19th century, when the country was still under the Ottoman dominion. The awakener includes famous poets and writers. Victor Boychev spoke about Petko Slaveykov and many other writers, as well as about their contribution to the development of culture.
As part of the lecture, Victor read the work "Изворът на белоногата". In his lecture, Viktor Boychev touched upon a brief history of Bulgaria, in particular, First and Second Kingdoms.
