Summer program "An overview of modern China and City Development 2023" at the Second Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages

From August 7 to 18, the Second Beijing Institute of Foreign Languages (北京第二外国语学院) BISU (Beijing International Studies University) hosted the summer program "An overview of modern China and City Development 2023", which was attended by 50 foreign young talents out of 28 countries including Russia, UK, France, Spain, Mexico, etc. Young people from various backgrounds, including government officials, foreign business leaders, and teachers were invited to the program to get acquainted with China's achievements in economic development, construction, and more.

Elizaveta Krasikova, PhD in philology, lecturer at the Department of English Lexicology, and Anastasia Andrianova, master student of the Faculty of Translation and Interpreting, were representing MSLU.

During the program, Elena Krasikova was interviewed by such Chinese media as CCTV, BRTV (北京时间), Beijing Daily (北京日报), CETV (China Education television 中国教育电视台), etc.

In an interview, Ms Krasikova repeatedly noted the increased interest of Russian students in learning the Chinese language and expressed her hope for further strengthening of Russian-Chinese relations, in particular in the field of education. At the end of the program, there was a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with a Chinese politician and diplomat, press secretary of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Wang Wenbing. The participants of the program thanked the Chinese diplomat for the reception and received diplomas of completion of the program.
