Level test for students of theTraining of Interpreters for International Organizations programme

17.02.2021
At the end of January, 9 students of the programme sat exams in simultaneous interpreting and written translation summing up 6 months of training. Along with the tutors of the programme, the examiners were Nikolai Telnov, a UN translator with thirty years of work experience, Olga Mostinskaya, a freelance UN translator and Natalia Krasavina, an interpreter for President of the Russian Federation, 3rd secretary of the Department of Linguistic Support of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

The texts for translation included materials of speeches at the UN General Assembly, all new to the students, and were to be translated on the spot, so that the exam was as close as possible to real working conditions.

In addition to the assessment, the students received feedback from the invited experts. They still have 5 months of training ahead, but some of the trainees have already been invited for an internship, thus, Victoria Tuchina is to interpret and translate at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO).

Congratulation to our students!
